smoothie time

I'm kind of on a health watch right now.
I'm sure you've all been through the same thing, you know when your mind is wandering in your free time to all the delicious healthy foods you want to make when you get home? Here's a few smoothies I whipped up in the past couple days of my phase:

Morning Burst Smoothie:
A very simple, tangy pick-me-up. I love sipping on this on my way to early classes. Serves 6-8.
What you use:
-ice (lots of it. I used two trays.)
-1/2 frozen apple juice concentrate (the typical 12 fl oz cans.)
-1/4 frozen orange juice concentrate
-6 frozen strawberries.
-you could also throw in an apple, orange, or banana to tone the flavor to your liking.

What you do:
-Put everything in there. I'd start with a full tray of ice and added to taste. My friends liked this tangier but I liked it tasting more like an icee. your choice. (:

Antioxidant Berry Smoothie:
This one's fantastic for making you feel like you're healthy! It's packed with nutrients: seriously, just research blueberries and you'll be as addicted as I am to them. They are sooo healthy. Serves 6-8.
What you use:
-2 cups (ish)  of blueberries
-1 cup (ish) acai berries. (what's that?)
-1 tray ice cubes
-1 cup (ish) of strawberry Kefir. (what's that?)
-a few dollops of plain yogurt.
-a few frozen strawberries, if desired.

Enjoy!
