i've had a fresh outlook on life as of late, and i want to incorporate bits of my lifestyle into my blog. little details that make me happy, anything food//exercise//makeup//diy that i create or come across.
i started the day off right with a decent breakfast. this is KEY. not only does eating breakfast help you lose weight; it is the only meal which i allow myself to eat as much as i like (as long as its not, like, cake!). this is because it is the only meal of the day which you fully burn off.
only have 40 mins to exercise today, like i did? there is no excuse for a time crunch! it just means you have to find a speedier workout!
the quick "drop 10" workout: (repeat daily to lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks!)
100 crunches
90 jumping jacks (i just went ahead and did 100 as well).
80 lunges (each leg.. yes, that's 160 total!)
70 squats
60 seconds running in place
50 second plank
40 jumping jacks
30 squats
20 high knees (each leg=40 total)
10 push ups (or be a wimp like me & substitute for 20 "cheat" push ups--knees on ground).
although my legs feel amazingly worked, my arms and upper body did not reach the burn i was hoping for. i'm dying to find my dumbbells since my last move! i recommend cooling down afterward with 5 mins of yoga, and munching a healthy snack.
everyone has their own comfort zones. i never thought that mine would be rediscovered in sweaty exercise and eliminating sugar--but here i stand corrected! it's been about three weeks since i started and i'm looking forward to my workout every day. this has never happened, ever. i used to not believe in "runner's high" or "feeling good" from working out, but it totally happens. do what makes you feel good and comfortable--for me, it's living healthy.
